Anthropology is unique among the social sciences in considering humankind from a holistic perspective that aims for an understanding of how culture, biology, history and language intersect. It combines the four-fields of biological, archaeological, cultural, and linguistic anthropology to give the students a well-rounded understanding of the world.
Favorite classes were cultural anthropology, historic archaeology and social organization.
The history minor touched on different histories around the world. Chief among the classes were Antiquity Pottery, History of Rock and Roll and Independent Study on the roots of blues and jazz on the development of music.

- Developed a structured three-day tax credit workshop for the Irvington Historical Society, Historic Irvington Neighborhood and surrounding historic neighborhoods.
-  Topics covered during the workshop included the National Register for Historic Places program, eligibility for nomination and significance of the National Register, Indiana Residential Historic Tax Credit and Federal Investment Historic Tax Credit the Irvington Neighborhood and surrounding National Register Historic District.
- Planned topics for speakers from Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission, Indiana SHPO officers, and Indiana Landmarks to be discussed.
- Marketed the workshop to local businesses, Community Development Corporations, Neighborhood Organizations, Newspapers, and non-profits.
- Obtained a donation from a neighborhood eatery to provide food for attendees of the workshop.
